Terms of Use
Article 1 Purpose
These Terms of Use (hereinafter the “Terms”) set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities arising between the Clinic and Members when using various services provided on the online website (hereinafter the “Website”) operated by Achimjeongwon Clinic (hereinafter the “Clinic”).
Article 2 Definitions
The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.
1. “Website” means the virtual space set up by the Clinic to provide services using computers and other information and communications facilities.
2. “Services” means all internet-based services provided on the Clinic’s Website and elsewhere.
3. “Member” means a person who agrees to these Terms, logs into the Website, and receives the services provided by the Clinic in accordance with these Terms.
4. “Operator” means a person selected to manage the Services in general and to ensure smooth operation.
5. “Personal Information” means information such as ID, password, nickname, and email address that can identify a specific individual.
6. “Post” means a review created and posted by a Member within the Clinic’s Website or any other inquiry to the Clinic.
Article 3 Posting and Amendment of Terms
① The Clinic shall make these Terms known to Members by posting them on the homepage’s initial screen or by providing a linked screen.
② The Clinic may amend these Terms to the extent not in violation of applicable laws and regulations and, in the event of an amendment, shall post the amended Terms on the Website from at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date.
③ Members may express their objection within fifteen (15) days after the amended Terms are posted. If a Member objects, the Clinic may terminate the service agreement with such Member. If the Member does not express an objection within fifteen (15) days after the amended Terms are posted, the Member shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 4 Interpretation of the Terms
Matters not stipulated herein and the interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws and customary practices.
Article 5 Membership and Formation of the Service Agreement
① The service agreement between the Clinic and an applicant for membership is formed when the applicant agrees to these Terms and the Clinic accepts the applicant’s membership application.
② In principle, the Clinic shall accept membership applications unless there are special reasons not to do so. However, the Clinic may refuse approval of an application or terminate the service agreement after approval if any of the following applies:
1. The applicant is under 14 years of age on the date of application;
2. The applicant is a minor who has not obtained the consent of a legal representative such as a custodian;
3. The registration contains false information, omissions, or errors;
4. The application is made using another person’s name;
5. The applicant has previously lost membership under these Terms;
6. The Clinic determines that acceptance would significantly impede its operations.
③ If any of the details submitted at the time of application change, the Member shall modify them online or notify the Clinic of such changes by email or other means. The Clinic shall not be liable for any disadvantages arising from failure to notify such changes.
Article 6 Notices to Members
When the Clinic gives notice to a Member, it may do so via the email address provided at the time of registration. For notices to an unspecified number of Members, posting on the Clinic’s Website may substitute for individual notice.
Article 7 Membership Withdrawal and Disqualification
① A Member may request withdrawal at any time through the Website, and the Clinic shall process the withdrawal without delay unless there are special circumstances.
② Even if a Member terminates the service agreement, previously posted content may not be deleted unless separately requested, so please delete posts before withdrawing.
③ If a Member falls under any of the following, the Clinic may disqualify the Member:
1. Providing false information at the time of application;
2. Interfering with other Members’ use of the Services or stealing their information;
3. Disrupting Website operation by altering information provided within the Clinic;
4. Engaging in acts that violate laws, these Terms, or public order and morals through the Website;
5. Any other case where maintaining membership is deemed inappropriate.
④ If a Member does not use the Website Services for one (1) year or more, the Clinic shall convert the account to a dormant account and store the data separately. If unused for more than one (1) additional year after separate storage, the Clinic shall destroy the Member’s information.
Article 8 Service Details and Changes
① The Clinic provides the following services to Members:
1. Management of membership registration and withdrawal;
2. Information on the Clinic’s medical staff and treatment schedules;
3. Creation of posts such as reviews and one-on-one inquiries;
4. Provision of health information;
5. Other services determined by the Clinic.
② The Clinic may change the details of the Services if necessary, and in such cases, shall announce the changed details and effective date on the Website.
Article 9 Suspension of Services
① The Clinic’s inquiry response service may be time-restricted depending on business hours and counseling operation hours.
② The Clinic may temporarily suspend the Services for a certain period due to unavoidable reasons, in which case it shall notify Members on the Website of the details and schedule.
Article 10 Provision of Review Writing and Viewing Services
① Members may write treatment reviews about the Clinic on the Website.
② Members may view treatment reviews written by other Members by logging into the Website.
③ Treatment reviews posted on the Website are written at the Member’s own discretion. Diagnoses, treatments, efficacy, side effects, etc. described in reviews may not apply equally to all Members and may vary depending on each Member’s individual characteristics.
④ If a Member falls under any of the following when using the review service, the Clinic may delete the relevant review or suspend or revoke the Member’s qualification:
1. Writing a review that differs from the actual diagnosis and treatment received;
2. Writing content that could cause disgust to others under social norms;
3. Using expressions contrary to common sense or using profanity in reviews;
4. Abusing the review service.
Article 11 Provision of One-on-One Inquiry Service
① Members may make one-on-one inquiries to the Clinic on the Website.
② The Clinic’s responses can under no circumstances replace a medical diagnosis and are provided for information delivery purposes only.
③ If a Member falls under any of the following when using the one-on-one inquiry service, the Clinic may delete the inquiry or suspend or revoke the Member’s qualification:
1. Repeatedly submitting the same inquiry;
2. Using expressions contrary to common sense in inquiries;
3. Requesting a consultation that asks for a diagnosis name;
4. Inquiring about treatment fees, examination fees, or drug prices.
Article 12 Ownership of Copyrights
① Intellectual property rights and other rights to content, service names, software, images, marks, logos, designs, trademarks, and other works produced by the Clinic belong to the Clinic.
② Members shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use for profit all or any part of the properties listed in Paragraph 1, nor allow a third party to use them for profit.
Article 13 Protection of Personal Information
① The Clinic endeavors to protect Members’ personal information as required by applicable laws, and the handling and use of personal information are governed by applicable laws and the Clinic’s separately announced Privacy Policy.
② The Clinic shall not be liable for any damages related to service use arising from personal information leakage due to the Member’s fault.
Article 14 Collection of Information, etc.
① The Clinic may collect and use the personal information of Members necessary for smooth use of the Website. The collection and use of such information shall be governed by the Clinic’s Privacy Policy.
② The Clinic may use the information in Paragraph 1 only when necessary and shall not provide it to any unauthorized third party except as permitted by applicable laws.
Article 15 Provision of Information
① In operating the Services, the Clinic may provide various information to Members by posting on the Website or by sending emails and other means.
② In connection with Paragraph 1, Members may refuse to receive emails, etc.
Article 16 Obligations of the Clinic
① The Clinic shall comply with applicable laws and faithfully exercise rights and perform obligations as set forth in these Terms in good faith.
② The Clinic shall establish a security system for the protection of Members’ personal information to ensure safe use of internet services.
Article 17 Obligations of Members
① Members shall not engage in any of the following acts:
1. Providing false information at the time of application or change;
2. Stealing another person’s information;
3. Infringing the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of the Clinic or third parties;
4. Damaging the reputation of the Clinic or third parties or interfering with their business;
5. Providing to the Clinic or posting on the Website information that is contrary to public order and morals;
6. Impersonating the Clinic’s officers, operators, or other related persons;
7. Registering or distributing materials infected with computer viruses;
8. Using the Services for profit, business, advertising, or political activities without the Clinic’s consent;
9. Any other acts that violate applicable laws or these Terms.
② If a Member engages in any act under Paragraph 1, the Clinic may disqualify the Member.
③ Members shall fulfill the following obligations regarding the use of their ID and password when using the Website Services:
1. The Member bears all responsibility for the management of their ID and password. Members shall not allow any third party to use their ID or password.
2. If a Member becomes aware that their ID or password has been stolen or is being used by a third party, the Member shall immediately notify the Clinic and follow the Clinic’s instructions.
Article 18 Management and Operation of Posts
① The copyright to posts made by Members on the Website belongs to the respective Members. However, for the purposes of operating and promoting the Services, the Clinic may use such posts free of charge, within the scope consistent with fair practices under copyright law, without separate consent from the Members.
② The Clinic may delete posts without prior notice if they fall under any of the following:
1. Content that defames or slanders the Clinic or third parties;
2. Content that violates public order and morals;
3. Content deemed connected to criminal activity;
4. Content that infringes the copyrights or other rights of the Clinic or third parties;
5. Any other content deemed to violate applicable laws or these Terms.
Article 19 Damages
If the Clinic or a Member violates these Terms and causes damage to the other party, the breaching party shall be liable to compensate the other party for the damage incurred.
Article 20 Disclaimer
① The Clinic shall be exempt from liability for providing the Services if it is unable to provide the Services due to force majeure such as natural disasters, states of emergency, or technological defects impossible to resolve with current technology.
② The Clinic shall not be liable for suspension, service interruptions, or termination of agreements due to reasons attributable to the Member.
Article 21 Dispute Resolution
① The Clinic and Members shall make necessary efforts to amicably resolve disputes arising from the use of the Website Services.
② The Clinic shall handle opinions or complaints raised by Members appropriately and promptly. If prompt handling is difficult, the Clinic shall notify the Member of the reason and the handling schedule.
Article 22 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
① These Terms and related disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
② If disputes between the Clinic and a Member cannot be amicably resolved and litigation is initiated, the competent court shall be the court having jurisdiction over the Clinic’s address.
These Terms shall take effect on October 1, 2025.
